A Ronald McDonald House® is coming to Evansville to serve tri-state families! After the completion of an extensive feasibility study which determined a critical need in our region, Ronald McDonald House Charities® of the Ohio Valley, Inc. announced its goal of bringing this international, well respected program to the Evansville area for the families of critically ill children receiving medical treatment at hospitals and medical facilities. One of only 270 homes globally, the Evansville home will provide families with an emotionally supportive and comfortable alternative to the sterile hospital environment. Reflective of the region/community it serves, the Evansville Ronald McDonald House will not only offer overnight accommodations, but also a unique "community area" for use by local and regional families wishing to seek respite during the day as needed (we anticipate serving over 1,000 families per year!) This truly is a region wide initiative as Evansville, IN serves as the medical hub for over 196,000 children within a 100 mile radius. How can you become involved?
